The National Gay Basketball Association is proud to announce its next sanctioned tournament in Las Vegas, NV on January 15-16 (MLK Weekend). 

Welcome to the website for the DC Capital City Classic II, a National Gay Basketball Association-sanctioned basketball tournament held in Washington, DC the weekend of October 16-17, 2010.

DC Represents at Home!

The DC Sentinels broke through the ceiling this weekend winning three out of the four NGBA Division Championships. In the B3 Division, the DC Sentinel Blades defeated the Empire State Ballers in an exciting overtime game to claim their first NGBA Championship Trophy. In the B2 Division, The DC Sentinel Bandits defeated the CBUSXPRESS, who earlier in the day knocked off the #1 Seeded LA Dream, to give DC its second NGBA Championship Trophy. In the B1 Division, the B Divisions most competitive bracket, the All City Ballers defeated Furry Vengeance in a thriller that came down to the final seconds winning the B Divisions Championship Trophy.  

Finally, in the A Division, the LA Thunder defeated the Maryland Mavericks to win the right to face the #1 seeded DC Sentinels A in the finals. The DC Sentinels A defeated #4 seeded Team United to move into the championship game. The DC Sentinels A finished out the day for the Sentinels organization by winning a hard fought match up against the LA Thunder 50-38 behind MVP Johnny Jackson giving them their first A Division Championship.  

Congrats again to the All City Ballers and the DC Sentinels organization on winning championships.
